As with many such documents the content is somewhat vague / general

The SACPLAN does not act on planners who are unethical.
The code of conduct is clearly described.
The code of conduct provided is clear but must be updated.
The confusion comes in the implementation.
The environment within a planner works in does not support him or her to work according with the demand of the Code of conduct
There is some recourse if the code is violated by practitioners - however those not registered with the professional body are not bound by the code of conduct- these unregulated people performing planning work are a major concern.
They do not represent all other planners like Social Planners and Environmental . the body only focuses on Urban planners
