Labour Force Survey and Quarterly Labour Force Survey
The Labour Force Survey (LFS) was a twice-yearly household-based sample survey conducted by South Africa's government statistics agency, Statistics South Africa. The survey was conducted in March and September of each year from 2002 to 2007. The LFS was replaced by the Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) which is conducted by Statistics SA on a quarterly basis. The QLFS collects data on the labour market activities of individuals aged 15 years and older who live in South Africa.
