Abstract
Lesotho citizens went to the polls to elect a new government acceptable to the great majority of its citizens in 2002. The fears of the ruling party and opposition were quieted by the elections and the installation of a more balanced parliament.
The principal result of the survey can be summarized in 4 areas namely, democracy and governance, economic management, citizenship and Lesotho in the world. The survey indicates that the citizens of Lesotho recognize that they have a long way to
go but are hopeful that the government and foreign investments will help with economic growth.
