    Abstract

    Data were collected as part of a randomised controlled trial in which adults stable on ART at four months on treatment were randomised to either ongoing clinic care or referral to the local model of differentiated service delivery (community-based adherence clubs). Data collection included face to face interviews, data abstraction of routine care records and phlebotomy for viral load.

    HIV-related data collected includes the study viral load result (copies/mL), World Health Organization stage prior to the initiation of antiretroviral therapy, Arm to which participant was randomised at enrolment (Club/Clinic; Club=adherence club, Clinic=primary health care clinic), Current antiretroviral therapy regimen, Prior lifelong antiretroviral therapy, and Duration of therapy
    Other data collected on individuals includes information on whether they are currently working and/or studying, their household income source and employment type, and receipt of government grants.
