Abstract
The primary objective of the CMPHS is to obtain, on a regular basis, statistical information on the social and economic characteristics of the population of the Island of Mauritius and Island of Rodrigues. The data collected provide inputs for the development of socio-economic indicators describing the various aspects of socio-economic development and its impact on the population. They are essential for the formulation and monitoring of policy programmes.
