    Abstract

    Data Collection Notes
Consent was obtained verbally, following the script printed at the beginning of the questionnaire. Respondents were informed that participation was voluntary, anonymous, and that they could stop at any moment. No signatures were collected, in order to avoid gathering personal identifiers and to maintain full anonymity.

    Data processing

    Data Editing
This dataset was derived from a raw Google Forms export of 245 responses to a survey of women informal traders in Luanda, Angola. The original file contained 86 columns, including 57 uninformative scoring and feedback fields generated by the survey platform. DataFirst restructured the data to 29 variables representing the substantive survey questions, resolved duplicate question headers, and normalized embedded line breaks in open-text responses. Two cleaned versions were produced: a Portuguese file preserving the original responses and an English file with translated headers, categorical values, and free-text answers. Variables were renamed using consistent snake_case conventions, and Stata files were created with language-appropriate variable labels. The resulting dataset is analysis-ready and suitable for use in statistical software, with improved structure, documentation, and accessibility for both Portuguese- and English-speaking users
