The scope of the Socio-economic Profiling of Urban Renewal Nodes Survey includes:
-HOUSEHOLD: information on income and monthly expenditure, dwelling type, access to and knowledge of various public services, awareness of and access to various urban renewal programmes, information of the influence of urban renewal programmes and public services on quality of life, community identified challenges to urban renewal, date of time at which respondent moved to locale, previous locale if not born in Khayelitsha or Mitchell's Plain, information on problems in communities (like drugs, alcohol, violence, fires and floods), mortality information for households in preceding year (2005), perceptions of safety, information on water, sanitation and electricity problems.
-INDIVIDUAL: demographic characteristics, disability, language, social grants, religious affiliation, education, employment, entrepreneurship, crime
