The Research on Open Educational Resources for Development (ROER4D) project is an IDRC-funded initiative hosted jointly by the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CILT) at the University of Cape Town and Wawasan Open University in Malaysia. The first of its kind in terms of global reach and research focus, the project aims to produce evidence-based research from 18 sub-projects in 26 countries in South America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South and Southeast Asia on the adoption and impact of Open Educational Resources (OER) in the Global South. In line with its Open Access and Open Education focus, the ROER4D Network Hub has adopted an Open Research approach to project operations, and aims to share data arising from sub-project studies as far as possible.
