The Angolan Urban Laboratory/ Laboratório Urbano de Angola (LURA) studies urban areas in Angola with high population densities that have neighbouring informal settlements (Musseques) (Luanda, Lubango, Huambo and Cabinda). The aim is to investigate and report on ways to integrate informal settlements into the formal urban fabric of the country. A second aim is to create an urban database to be shared with stakeholders to serve as a monitoring tool in the implementation of the SDGs as well as other global and local urban policies in Angola.
