This collection is data produced by the South African Department of Basic Education (DBE). The DBE oversees South African schools from Grade R to Grade 12, as well as adult literacy programmes. DBE datasets include data from school administrative and monitoring systems - such as the Learner Unit Record Information and Tracking System (LURITS) - as well as data from school surveys, such the Early Childhood Development Census and the Early Grade Reading Study.
