Data file: PIRLS 2006 - Population 1 - Home Background File - All Countries v1.0

The home background data files contain the responses of parents or primary caregivers to the questions in the Learning to Read Survey, or home questionnaire. To perform student-level analyses with student reading achievement scores and the home background data, these files must be merged with the student background data files, using the country and student identification variables, to perform analyses on the variables they contain.
