Description
This is the original questionnaire from the October Household Survey 1994. The version originally held by DataFirst, which we have called version 1, was obtained from the South African Data Archive (SADA). Version 1 of the questionnaire had been retyped by SADA and in the process the race codes listed in Section 2.1 of the questionnaire had been transposed. A scanned copy of the original questionnaire was obtained from Statistics South Africa to replace the SADA copy, and this scanned copy we call version 2.
Version 1 race codes:
1 = Asian
2 = Black
3 = Coloured
4 = White
Version 2 race codes (original, correct version downloadable from this site):
1 = Asian
2 = Coloured
3 = White
4 = Black
